The May 28th team enjoyed a beautiful rest day at 14 Camp — taking time to recharge, refuel, and prepare for the final stages of their climb. Bluebird skies and calm conditions made for the perfect moment to pause beneath the imposing Headwall.
Tomorrow around 9 AM, the team plans to push to High Camp (17,200 ft / 5,243 m). The route ahead includes the steep ascent of the fixed lines, a traverse along the exposed West Buttress ridge, and arrival at the uppermost camp, perched on the edge of summit territory.
The forecast is looking exciting, and the crew is feeling strong heading into this critical phase. Over the next few days, they’ll be watching closely for a summit window and staying flexible with timing.
The May 28th team sends love to everyone following along — we’ll be in touch. Wish us luck.
