June 5th Team Crushes the Cache Around Windy Corner

The June 5th team is crushing their timeline. Today they climbed strong and cached gear high at 13,600 ft / 4,145 m, positioning themselves perfectly for the move to 14 Camp tomorrow.

The route brought them up and over Motorcycle Hill, across the exposed traverse of Squirrel Hill, and along the dramatic ridgeline skirting above the Polo Fields, before reaching the slopes just below Windy Corner. As they climbed, the team navigated crevasses and firm glacial terrain with rising confidence and synced pacing.

They carried more than just weight today — they brought momentum and meaning, including:

🧵 Friendship bracelets

🥜 Peanut butter (always a morale booster)

🪨 Pocket stones

🧤 Small tokens of luck, love, and grounding

Now settled back into Camp 2 (11,200 ft / 3,414 m) for the night, the crew is sharing dinner and stoke around the cook tent. Spirits are high as they prep for tomorrow’s big push to 14 Camp, where the air is thinner, the views wider, and the real alpine begins.
