Team Louise Regroups at Camp 3

Louise McEvoy called in a really nice post from Camp 3 today. The team spent a very cold night at High Camp last night, with fingers and toes crossed that the forecast would come true with today dawing with light winds. Unfortunately, the winds were not light, and they were blowing from a different direction, so the team decided to drop back to Camp 3, rather than ride out what sure looks like some wild weather at 17,200 feet.

Descending to a previous camp is a tough choice to make, but Team Louise has been moving amazingly well up the mountain and made very, very quick work of moving to high Camp yesterday, so the guides and Louise feel they can pretty easily rally back up high when the weather cooperates. In the meantime, they are going to hunker down at Camp 3 and look for a window in the weather to attempt the summit.

Here’s Louise!
