The climbers are at Camp 2 today waiting out the winds. They moved up to Camp 2 (18,000ft/5480m) yesterday, December 11, in under 3 hours from Camp 1, so they are moving strong! They woke up this morning and had another nice breakfast, then tried to climb up to Camp 3 for a bit of acclimatization. The winds were strong today, and as they climbed above camp, they saw 70km/hr winds and decided to wait for another day. They’re drinking tea and resting at C2 now, watching the winds blow. The weather forecast is available at Mountain Forecast if you’d like to follow along. The forecast is not precise, but it does give you an idea of the overall trends and the winds look to be diminishing in the next few days.
They’ll be moving up to high camp in the next day or two!
