The June 3 Team left High Camp yesterday after a summit attempt on Friday, June 18. The team was thwarted by some bad weather at Denali Pass and decided to turn around. Everyone returned to high camp safely, which is always the primary goal with any big mountain expedition.
The team is currently making their way down the glacier and may arrive at basecamp as early as this afternoon. With flyable weather in the forecast the team should be slipping back into flip flops before too long and enjoying life’s small pleasures like green grass and flowing water.
It is not uncommon for teams for skip the dispatch calls on their descent of the mountain. Stay tuned and we’ll have a final dispatch from Lead Guide Brian Muller in a couple days!

So glad everyone is safe!
John and Renata, We are glad you are safe. We were following the weather along and it did look bad. We hope the return goes well and that we will see you soon.
Good to hear all OK and are returning with many great stories to tell!
