The June 6 Denali team is waiting for weather to clear so they can fly into the Alaska Range today. The flight into the basecamp of Denali is the first obstacle and they need good visibility to fly into the middle of the range in a ski plane. It isn’t uncommon for teams to experience delays of a day or two, but they are excited to be getting onto the glacier as soon as they can. In the meantime, they are enjoying Talkeetna, preparing for the climb, and “team building” at the local brewery. The weather looks like it will open up a bit on the 9th so they hope to be flying onto the mountain soon!
