The May 7 Denali West Buttress team called in an update from camp at 14,200′!

A lot of shoveling and cold temperatures awaited them at 14,200′. They plan to spend a couple more days at 14-Camp, acclimatizing and practicing skills before they plan to move to the upper mountain!

Conditions are definitely cold at the moment, which is fairly typical for early May trips. The high temperature right now is -8 *F, with windchill values exceeding -27*F.
