Mountain Trip guide Dave Nesis called in an update on the May 8 Denali West Buttress team, who were unfortunately prevented from moving to High Camp at 17,200′. Yesterday marked just over two weeks on the West Buttress route.

The team should be moving up to High Camp today 5/24 if the weather permits. Yesterday the winds and snow unfortunately moved in and prevented the team from ascending the fixed lines and steep headwall, highly exposed sections that demand good weather, decent visibility, focus and commitment.
