Omri Gildor called in with an update their team, who reached Denali High Camp at 17,200′ by early yesterday afternoon, and set up camp. Omri said that they enjoyed calm and clear weather on their ascent up the fixed lines, and the team was feeling good about moving higher.
Today, at around 8:30 am Alaska Time, the team called in to our crew in Anchorage and let them know of their plans to depart to make their summit attempt on Denali. They will likely reach the summit this afternoon, Monday June 27!
Here’s the route that the team will take to the summit. After discussion, they had second thoughts about following the Upper Rib Route for various reasons.
