Mountain Trip lead guide Bill Allen called in with an update on the private Upper Rib expedition, with clients Ephi and Omri Gildor.

The team enjoyed a smooth and scenic flight out to their Base Camp on the broad Kahiltna Glacier. They then hastily set up camp, chowed down on pizza, and set their alarm clocks for an “alpine start” towards Camp One at 7,800′. Bill said they planned to wake up and break camp at around midnight and head up the glacier.

Bill said the team will check in tomorrow with another dispatch on their progress.
