Mountain Trip climber David Porter, on the June 11 Denali West Buttress expedition, called in with an update on the team’s progress.
Today they plan to climb up Squirrel Hill and cache above Windy Corner at around 13,500′, and then head up to Camp 3 at 14,200′ within the next several days. Like all of the other Mountain Trip teams on the West Buttress Route, they are enjoying the current trend of high pressure, low wind and clear weather.
The team will be spending another night at Camp 2 at 11,200′ tonight.
Here’s David with the update, and a hello for his friends and family listening from back home:
Lieber Remo
deine Sprachnachricht hat mich erreicht. Freue mich riesig, dass es dir und euch gut geht. Ihr habt ja wärmer als wir!
Umarmung Bella

Great to hear from you David we have been keeping up with all the reports , hope you and the team keep safe and strong and the weather stays fair for the assent to the summit. From everyone on the Isle of Wight.
