Brian Kramp

It’s been my dream to work and play in the mountains since I was six years old. I am fortunate to have realized that dream and to call Alaska my home. During the winter months, I work as a Ski Patroller at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. In this role, I provide emergency medical services to injured guests. I also am involved in the avalanche control program, where we use explosives and other techniques to mitigate the avalanche hazard to keep the mountain safe for our guests.

In the summer, I work for Mountain Trip guiding climbing trips on Denali. I feel very lucky to be able to share the magnificence of the Alaska Range with new friends from all over the world. A rewarding part of being a Denali guide is getting to see people break through their own personal limits and rise to the challenge of a big mountain expedition. I have an obsession with well-built kitchen tents and soft spot for rest days at 14,000 camp with all you can eat pancakes.

I started working for Mountain Trip in 2013. Since then I have guided 8 trips in the Alaska Range. I am a Wilderness EMT and I hold an Avalanche Level III certification. I endeavor to bring my background in emergency medicine and mountain safety to every trip I lead. I look forward to seeing you up north!
