Mountain Trip Friends
High quality friends, around the world!

Mountain Trip has always felt more like a family than a company, a family within a village of like-minded friends and kindred spirits. We'd like to introduce you to some of the other villagers...

patagonia
Clothing and Gear for Alpinists

Patagonia
Patagonia's Mission statement speaks volumes: "Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis." Patagonia has shown that you can make "doing the right thing" a sound business model. They make awesome clothing for the types of trips that we run, as well as very styley casual clothes. They have invested in some of the most cutting edge social and environmental programs in the industry and we think they are great!

black diamond
Equipment for Alpinists

Black Diamond
Mountain Trip is proud to support Black Diamond, Ltd. The mission of Black Diamond is to design, manufacture and bring to market innovative technical products that answer the real needs of passionate climbers and skiers. To be one with the sports they serve and indistinguishable from them. To focus their tireless efforts on the protection and preservation of the wild country we depend on for solace, recreation and our business. What began with a backyard anvil and a hammer in 1957 has grown into a global company that stands for the spirit of the sports we live, their values and goals, past, present and future. We feel that they really act responsibly and make some great gear!

la sportiva
Technical Footwear

La Sportiva
Mountain Trip is proud to be in partnership with La Sportiva. La Sportiva boots have been keeping the feet of our guides and many of our climbers warm for years and we believe in their products. We pursued this partnership solely because we found that most of our guides were wearing their products while trail running, pulling down on rock routes, scratching up frigid ice lines and in the big mountains. Obviously, you should choose the boot that best fits your foot, but we encourage you to consider La Sportiva boots and shoes, as they work great for us.

TAT
The Gang at TAT, in their element.

Talkeetna Air Taxi
Climber owned Talkeetna Air Taxi (TAT) has been shuttling climbers in and out of the Alaska Range for decades. We choose to fly with them because of the unparalleled level of service that they have consistantly provided us and because they now feel like family. Paul Roderick is the Director of Operations and his staff includes some of the most skilled pilots flying in the bush. If you have extra time on your hands in Alaska, definitely take a scenic flight into the Alaska Range. We get to see a small slice of the Range on our flights to and from the mountain, but there is so much more to see!

TASP is our teammate for offering Alaska Adventures to people with disablities.

Telluride Adaptive Sports Program
TASP has been an institution in the Telluride region since 1995. This non-profit organization provides ski instruction and year round outdoor therapeutic and adventure opportunities to people with disabilities. In 2009, we teamed up with TASP to run an "Alaska Adventure" trip that enabled disabled athletes to join us in the Alaska Range for ski mountaineering and glacier travel instruction. The trip was such a success that we ran two more such adventures in 2010 and will continue to offer this unique opportunity on a yearly basis.
